SG - Post Script

Angel, one of my Shinhwa friends here in the Philippines, pinged me a couple of days after the concert. we reminisced about the concert and talked about what happened during our stay there. she then told me that she saw me in Mnet! Mnet is a korean channel. i was so surprised with what she said. she explained that Mnet showed some clips of the Shinhwa concert. and then she sent me a screen cap of the it. hahahahaha... there i was with a living proof that i attended the concert... i saw camera's during the concert but didn't know that they were able to film us... i thought they were shooting people from the upper seats...

when i got home, i quickly told my sisters about it and we then downloaded the clip. true enough, there we were. it was just for a split second. Angel, you have really quick eyes to have found us!!!! thanks for telling us.....

so that was my split-second of fame... o.O

Day 3: SG - Being Tourists

we woke up around 8AM. we were to do so shopping (even if we didn't have a lot of money.... hehehehehe) and see some of the sites of Singapore. another hidden agenda was to also try to find out where Junjin was havng his pictorial for his solo album.

we went ahead and checked out from the hostel at around 9:30AM. since we couldn't bring our luggage while shopping, Betel Box was kind enough to let us leave our things there for the mean time...

we took a cab and our first stop was Takashimaya. of course this mall had some very up-scale stores. but we were only looking for one specific store. it was the Kinokuniya. it was a huge bookstore that probably had most of the books or magazines that you would need. we wanted to buy the Shinhwa Personal History DVD/Photobook. after going through the rows and rows of books and magazines, we were able to find it! there were only 3 copies left!!!! if we came in a few hours later, we might not have been able to buy it!

we then went to some of the other malls within the same road. i forgot some of the names. we were helping Marie look for some of the stuff that her mom was asking her to buy. after going through different stores and all, we were able to find some of the stuff...




we then ate some lunch and decided to order Singapore Chili Crab! oohhh!!! it was so yummy! after that we then decided to go and start stalking Junjin. we heard that he might be in Merlion Park. We then went there, but we couldn't find him. we decided to have our pics with one of the landmarks of SG. we also took some other pics of the buildings. we heard that he might be at the Fullerton Hotel or Sentosa. we really didn't know where we would be able to find him. we were a it bummed that we were not able to see where he had his photoshoot. at around 4PM we headed back to the hostel, since we were to be picked up by Marie's family friend and have dinner with them.

we then went to this sort of shabu-shabu type of restaurant. we had shrimps, crabs, pork and beef sate... i was so full that i didn't get to eat a lot. i kept looking at my watch since we needed to be at the airport at around 8PM if we wanted to catch junjin before boarding for his flight. it would have been great to see him inside the airport and meet him at the area after immigration. but our plane was a located at a different terminal and so we couldn't go further inside.



at around 8:30PM we arrived at the airport to meet up with him. and just like after 5 mins, we heard girls screaming their lungs our for Junjin! we rushed to find him, and i was able to see him really up-close!!!!! too bad the pic that i got only captured his back. still, i was able to get a pic of him... anyway the pic that i posted came from Marie. hehehehe.... we finally saw Weng. she was also able to get some pics or clips of Junjin. we tried to go to the same are where we went to previous day to see if Junjin will also be staying, but he didn't go there. he most probably went straight to the plane since he got in just in time for him to board for his flight.

we then went to Budget Terminal since that's where the Cebu Pacific flights are. we were shocked to find out that our flight got delayed. it was so nice of Weng to actually stay with us while we waited for our flight. we finally were then able to check-in and said our goodbyes. we really had a great time in SG, especially with our new found friends (Weng, Jaz, Bambie, and other Shinhwa fans). i truly enjoyed it and would love to go back there!!!! i hope there will be another concert and i have the time and the cash to come back!!!!!

Day 2: SG - Stalker Mode

here's Day 2 of our SG trip:

we woke up at around 6AM to be able to go to the hotel where Shinhwa was staying. in other words, we will be stalking them! hehehehe.... they were staying at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel. we had dogtags made as our gift to them.


according to Jaz and Weng, due to IMF taking place in Singapore as well, there were a lot of alternate routes provided since there were a lot of roads closed. Anyway, we were able to get to the hotel at around 8AM. we stayed at one of the lounge/coffee areas of the hotel. we got a table that was in near range of the elevators as well as the hotel's front desk. we decided to order something from the menu, since we felt shy sitting there without ordering anything. we got to order 3 hot chocolates and 1 flavored iced tea (that's my order!). we all know that regular drinks are like a gold mine when ordered at a hotel. we all took our time to drink it (converted to pesos it was around php333!).


we were surprised that we didn't see any fans there. around 2 hours had already passed and we still didn't see any fans or even Shinhwa. we some girls who also went and sat at one of the nearby tables and also ordered some food. we weren't sure if they were Shinhwa fans. we were already pondering on whether we should just leave.... we were decided to stay since at that moment, we saw the Good Entertainment crew as well as some of the dancers appraoch the front desk! we knew that it was just a matter of time before we saw our beloved Shinhwa boys! we saw the 2 head dancers for Shinhwa (1 girl, 1 boy). Atchie decided to take a pic with the male dancer. we gave him some dried mangoes as a present. i then later decided to have a pic with the female dancer as well.


for some strange reason, we saw the fans starting to arrive. what was funny was that they were only staying near the elevator. then LUG members came out and a lot were asking for some pictures with them. we decided to go ahead and have 1 pic with one of the members. since they were new, their management wasn't strict with allowing fans to take a pic with them.

the dancers decided to occupy a table beside us. we were really hoping that if Shinhwa went down, they will decide to chat with the dancers! we patiently waited and lo and behold! Minwoo came out of the elevators and headed straight to the dancers tables! we were all excited! this is it! this was our moment to get a close-up pic of him! but then his bodyguard (code name: Bulldog) saw us and said "No pictures". as good fans, we decided not to take pics. we just stared and looked at him instead.. hehehehe... Marie was able to take a pic of Minwoo when Bulldog wasn't looking. with MInwoo near us, we then decided that this was the perfect opportunity for us to be able to give our gift. Marie talked to Bulldog and asked him if he can give this to Minwoo. he initially said "No autographs", we said that we didn't want any pics or autographs but for him to just give Minwoo our gift. He took the box and then gave it to Minwoo! SUCCESS!!!!!!!! we saw Dongwan pass by the elevators and went to the buffet area for lunch. Minwoo stayed for a few more minutes and then went to have some lunch as well.


the dancers also left the area, probably to eat lunch as well. we received word that Andy was not in he hotel since he went off to play golf. we then hoped that Junjin and Hyesung would go down and we might catch a glimpse of them. some koreans stayed at the table that Minwoo and the dancers earlier occupied. we were thinking that Dongwan hasn't come back yet and we're thinking that he had been eating for around 2 hours already! finally we saw him, but he didn't stop near the lounge area. he just went straight to the elevators. Shortly after Dongwa, Minwoo went back to the lounge area! and much to our delight! he then stayed at the table near us. apparently he is friends with the koreans that were seated there. he initially kept looking at us, probably worried that we might approach him and ask for a pic or autograph. but we were well-behaved fans and didn't dare approach him. finally he got comfortable and was then at ease with where he was seating. he was in that area at approximately 3-4 hours just chatting with fellow koreans.

we also met some of Tina's friends, Bea and Helen. they also ordered some food and we chatted away. we had loads of fun talking about Shinhwa. we then saw that LUG, Shinhwa dancers, and most probably Shinhwa were already leaving the hotel to have dinner and then head straight to the airport. Bea then whispered to me that Shinhwa will be in Jumbo restaurant and that if we wanted to follow them we should go there. i thanked Bea for the heads up and said that we're not sure yet. we then decided that we do not want to go to the airport since we were all tired.

we then met up with Weng at Glutton's Bay to have our 1st real meal for the day. we had oyster cake, jumbo shrimp, BBQ chicken wings, we were all wondering where Shinhwa was or if they were still at the restaurant. at the last minute, we decided to go and stalk Shinhwa at the restaurant. we hurriedly took a cab and went off to East Coast Marina. unfortunately when we got there, the boys had just left. Bea confirmed that Shinhwa was already at the airport. we got a cab and then went off to the airport. SG airport is the most stalker friendly airport!!! you can go in the airport, and still see the passengers go in for immigration. there were viewing decks as well so we got to see Hyesung, Andy, Dongwan, and Minwoo in the VIP lounge area. we were able to get some fan cam of them leaving the VIP lounge to board their plane. Andy was always waving to the crowd. Hyesung seemed to have PMS (lol!). he didn't wave much except when he was leaving the VIP lounge. Dongwan played hide and seek with the fans.

it was tiring, but fulfilling at the same time! we were to leave SG the following day and hoped to catch Junjin, since he will be leaving SG the following day....

Day 1: SG - Shinhwa Concert

i know i haven't posted much about our Singapore trip. hehehehe... well here it goes:


we left for SG via Cebu Pacific at around 9:00PM on Sept. 9. after a couple of hours, we arrived in SG (Sept. 10) at around 12:30AM. luckily, marie's family friend came to pick us up and gave us a ride to go to the Betelbox hostel. we got there around 2AM (we initially had some difficulty looking for it). we got to meet some Shinhwa fans who were also booked at the same hostel. we went to a nearby 7-11 and got some noodles for our dinner. after that we went of to bed and get some rest to prepare ourselves for the Shinhwa concert.

we woke up around 10AM and met with our fellow pinoy friends Weng, Jaz, and Bambie. we went to the Singapore Indoor Stadium (SIDS) at round 3:30PM to collect our tickets as well as shirts, posters, magazines and glowsticks. we were so surprised that we were able to get first row seats!!! we couldn't believe our luck! we strolled around SIDS to wait until the doors of the concert venue will open. we took some pics while waiting.


we went inside the concert venue at around 7PM. we immediately went to look for our seats. while waiting for the concert to start, there was this huge screen which showed Shinhwa MVs. people screamed whenever they saw their fave shinhwa member's face up close on the giant screen.

the Shinhwa concert started with the opening act by korean band LUG. they sang 2 songs. i loved their 2nd song. dunno though what the title was ^^. they were well dressed. everyone was wearing black and white suits. they looked like Shinhwa during the "Throw My Fist" MV. some of the members spoke in english. thank god!


then Shinhwa came out! everyone was screaming!!!! i myself am still in disbelief that i was able to watch their concert! it was a good thing that all of them had a good hair day! out of all their concerts, i think this was the only time that i liked their hairstyles. no one had corn rows, braided hair, fried/burnt hair, or crazy colored hair... hahahahaha..... Andy looked so cute and adorable! he was so tanned and was always smiling. of course junjin looked so handsome! gosh!!!! i screamed my lungs out for them while they sang their songs. some of the songs that they sang were:

• Thousand Day Soul from their 1st jib
• Only One from their 3rd jib
• Hero from SMTown's 2002 summer album
• Wild Eyes and Hey Come On from their 4th jib
• I Pray for You and Perfect Man from their 5th jib
• Angel, Brand New, and Shooting Star from their 7th jib
• Leaving Behind Traces of Time from their 2nd Winter Story
• Your Man and Once in a Lifetime from their 8th jib

Only Hyesung and Minwoo had solo performances. Hyesung sang Same Thoughts from his solo album and Minwoo sang Bump, Battle and Jump. i must say that minwoo's solo performance was great! he was a great dancer!!!!

there were a lot of cute moments during the concert:

• Hyesung had some difficulties hitting the notes in some songs and Dongwan was stiffling a giggle while singing because of that! lol!
• Hyesung was talking to Junjin in english. Junjin just kept answering "Yes" then saying "I love you" just to end the conversation...
• Dongwan kept on saying "room service" just so that everyone will think that he can speak in english!
• Andy missed some dance steps

after the concert, we decided not to follow Eric at the airport, since we were all tired. with luck on our side, we got to see Dongwan and Junjin leaving the concert venue! talk about timing! we then went back to the hostel and ate some noodles again before hitting the sack and saving our energy to stalk them the following day!

Shinhwa - Singapore!!!!!!

gosh!!!!! i cannot believe that we will be leaving for Singapore next week already!!! i'm so excited! we will get to see SHINHWA in concert!!!!! OMMMMGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!

Shinhwa.... Here We Come!!!!!

finally.... after being a Shinhwa fan for a couple of years, i am happy to say that i will be watching one of their concerts!!!! hehehehehe.... i will be going to Singapore to watch their concerts for their Asian Tour!!! woohooo!!!!!!! i can't wait for september to come.

we have already booked our flights and accomodations as well. i'm so excited!!!! we will be in Singapore from sept. 10 to 12. it's just for a couple of days. i know that it will be worth it. i will be going with my sister (Uchi). my twin won't be able to come (much as she would like to) since no one will be left to take care of ilai. kix won't be able to come as well, since her tentative flight to the US is on sept. 8. we will just cheer for them when we go there. i can't wait!!!! Shinhwa here we come!!!!!!!!

Another Korean Series To Watch....

i recently finished watching the korean series my girl starring lee da hae and lee dong wook. i really enjoyed watching this, since it's a romantic comedy. i'm not really fond of watching those korean series that have too much drama... i couldn't stand with all those tear-jerker moments...

whenever i see joo yoo rin (lee da hae) she was always eating. she was either eating yams, popcorn, kimbab, kimchi rice, you name it she might have already eaten it. it's a wonder that she doesn't seem to have gained any weight! ^^

of course seol gong chan (lee dong wook) tries his hardest not to realize that he is falling in love with joo yoo rin. it makes you want to whack his head at times! hehehehe.... lee dong wook is such a cutie. i saw his brief stint in wowowee. ooh!!!! i so hated (envy!) mariel rodriguez.... hahahahahaha... such a lucky girl.

anyway, for those that haven't watched it yet i recommend that you do since it's a lot of fun and i'm sure you'll enjoy it too!

Being Sick and Driving Lessons...

I hate being sick. I hate having colds, cough, and fever.... I've been sick for a couple of days already. I can't wait to get well again... Being sick is not fun...

By the way, I have finally finished my driving lessons! And for the 1st time since I started taking such lessons, I was finally able to have a lesson where the car didn't stop because I wasn't able to balance the clutch and gas. Hehehehehehehe.... I guess I just need a little more practice before I actuakky apply for my driver's license.

Korean Red Devils...

i was finally able to see katie last monday. i think the last time that i saw her was last year. we had dinner at Masa's in Greenbelt. Atchie, Tina, Patty, Marie, and Camille were also there. we chatted away and talked about what has been happening with our lives, PBB, and others. after dinner we went to Seattle's best for some coffee fix.

katie brought the stuff that we asked her to buy for us. we finally have Shinhwa's 8th jib (with free poster), Tim's 3rd jib, and Epik High's Black Swan CD. katie also gave us some Shinhwa stickers (yey!), and either a magnet or pen. of course she also brought the red devil headbands! since it's world cup season, we just had to ask her to buy it for us. don't we look like Korean Red Devil fans??? Korea hwaiting!!!! good luck on your upcoming game with Switzerland!!!!!!

Dae Han Min Kook!!!!!!

world cup fever has already started!!!! i am of course rooting for the Red Devils, Korea's soccer team!!! so far they have 1 win (vs Togo) and 1 draw (vs France). i hope they get to enter the semis, same as what they did on the last world cup (hosted by korea-japan).

ahn jung wan and lee chun soo scored during their game against togo. park ji sung scored on their draw with france.
